Mx1 were the group to get Saturday’s round 5 racing underway, Neville Bradshaw showed up on his honda 500 for some fun. We all know how that was going to go. So with 3 motos to race he took all 3. Nicky Watts came in second with consistent results of 2,2,2. Dan Lawler was trying to show his face in the top 3 but a 6th in the third race made it easy for Luke Kennet. 3 solid third place finishes meant the last podium spot was his.
Robert Storer came back again wanting to win the Rookies but Luke Southern was in a world of his own at the front. All 3 motos were Lukes and so was the top spot on the podium. This meant that for the second round in a row Storer had to settle for a solid second place. The youngster Tyler Kirby rounded off the podium with results of 4,3,3.
Big wheels were up next. Kyron Carron was on the gas in all 3 motos. He was untouchable and took all 3 chequered flags, it was breathtaking to watch. A battle was going on behind him between Jake Brown and Riley Ingram. The spot for second did eventually get decided, Jake Brown took that result home with him. Riley Ingram settled for 3rd.
Marley Alder was looking 100% in the Small wheel 85 class. 3 stunning first place finishes gave him a maximum score of 135. Both second place and third could have easily gone to anybody in the top 6. Clayton Kerslate and Jacob Francis battled it out for podium spots and they succeeded. Clayton got second and Jacob rounded out the podium with a 3rd place overall.
The 65s put on a great show of racing on Saturday. Asa Gas Gas rider Archie Edwards was around looking for an easy win in the juniors. He won the first race but met a brick wall when Marty Spires came out and won the next two motos taking home the first place. This meant that Edwards would have to settle for 2nd and come back Sunday looking for the win.
The closest racing was in the Autos class with all of the podium finishers having won a race on the day. Charlie Farmer was the man to take the top spot with results of 2,1,2. Freddie Darvill bagged a win in moto 3 and his results of 3,2,1 gave him second overall. Leo Adams was in the top 3 like usual but didn’t manage to finish any better than 3rd due to his fourth place in race 2.
Nightmare struck for title contender Neil Grant in the Vmx. He had a nasty crash in race one that meant racing was put on hold for a few hours. This would see him bow out of the championship and take a trip to hospital with a broken femur. Tony Hale was back this weekend and took two very strong wins. Mark Morris and Billy Hazell were the obvious favourites to battle for second spot. Billy took a dnf in race one which meant that Morris would bag second , with third place going to Jason Dalimore.
Mx2 were last out. Jordan Batchelor was untouchable yet again. With only time for 2 races he took both race wins with ease. Cam Macdonald came in second place with some very solid riding. 2,3,2 was enough to give him a place on the podium. Tom Moore lacked what was needed but bagged a 3rd place spot with results of 3,4,3

Luke Southern came out flying on Sunday’s Round 6 in the Rookies. Another maximum score of 135 and impressive looking results of 1,1,1. He is unstoppable and looks favourite to win the club championship this season. The Wulfsport rider Robert Storer looked sharp on his brand new ktm, 2,2,2 was the best he could manage. Tyler Kirby bagged 3rd again And is looking very strong this season. He went 3,3,4.
Big Wheel 85’s were up next with a clean sweep from Jake Brown who took first place on the podium with results of 1,1,1. Alfie Payne claimed second spot on the day after going 2,2,2 with some dazzling riding skills. Third spot went to number 177 Lewis Evans with his solid and consistent riding efforts. Results of 3,3,3 saw him take home third.
Marley Alder was again the man to beat in the Small Wheel 85’s. He grabbed another three consistent wins earning himself top spot of the podium with ease. Clayton Kerslake clinched onto second place after coming second in moto 3, with overall results of 3,6,2. Just behind was Jacob Francis who rounded off the podium and took a third overall.
The Gas Gas rider Archie Edwards was back on the Sunday to prove he had what it took to earn top spot in the 65 class. His first race wasn’t his best display but he came back fighting in motos 2 and 3 to take both the wins. Marty Spires missed out due to a 5th place in race 2 but his 1st and 2nd place results were enough to bag him 2nd place overall. Archie Stapley came in third with some solid results.
In the Autos, Freddie Darvill took top spot for all three races (1,1,1) on the day winning him first overall. He showed great determination with his brilliant show of riding. Charlie Farmer came in second with three consistent rides of 2,2,2. Third place could’ve been anyones, but Frazer White did just enough to earn the last spot on the podium. He went 6,4,3.
The Vmx always has some interesting racing for the spectators and this weekend wasn’t an exception. Mark Morris holeshotted race 1 but Billy hazell was successful in passing him. Morris did fight back in race 3 and grabbed a win however this was not enough for him to see first overall. Billy went 1,1,2 for first whilst Morris went 2,3,1 for second. Tony Hale didn’t quite have enough for the boys at the front on Sunday but did grab a third overall with results of 3,2,3.
Jordan Batchelor was untouchable in the MX2 class. Breathtaking display and three wins gave him 1st overall. Cam MacDonald capitalised on everyone else’s mistakes and took second after going 2,3,2. Tom Moore and Travis Reynolds battled it out for third but it was Moore that came out on top with results of 3,4,3.
MX1 had a lot to offer on Sunday. Neville Bradshaw did not compete on the day leaving the gate open for Nicky Watts to bag all three motos. He was in a league of his own and rode with such confidence. Luke Kennet struggled to stay consistent but 2,5,2, still allowed him to walk away with second place on the day. Dan Warby also struggled with consistency, but his racing improved throughout the day. 5,3,3 gave him the last spot on the podium.
