Should there be a Supercross of Nations?

Should there be a Supercross of Nations?  That’s been the question on my mind for some time.  With WSX taking the sport to new markets, the rise in the Australian Supercross Championship and the emergence of the Indian Supercross League surely now is the right time to bring all this together along with the bemoth that is the Monster Energy Supercross Championship in America to create something that is truly globally, where the best of the best duke it out for World glory and the honour of representing their country.

It works in Motocross, Speedway, Long Track, Trials… and now even the iconic ISDE (International Six Days Enduro) has been relabeled FIM 6DAYS® Enduro of Nations, so that leaves Supercross as the only major off-road sport not to have a Nations competition.

Let’s be fair, the USA and America will take some stopping, but the French and German teams would pack and punch and let’s be fair, a UK team with Max Anstie and Dean Wilson in wouldn’t be far off the mark either, and maybe this will give the chance to new nations and new talent to shine on the world stage.

In terms of a host nation, you would have to say the possibilities are endless with stadiums capable of hosting this type of event in all four corners of the globe…

This could also be a way that SX Global and Feld could work together as well, or is that wishful thinking??

Anyway, what do you think, folks…

Supercross of Nations at the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff in 2027, anyone??
