Fresh from announcing that Taylor Hammal will be joining the SevenSeven2 Ride Kawasaki team for the 2027 British Motocross Championship, the team is delighted to confirm its full rider lineup for next season. Tristan Purdon and Charlie Cole will remain in the MX1 class, while Joel Rizzi will race an upgraded KX250 in the MX2 class.
Having joined the SevenSeven2 Ride Kawasaki team halfway through 2026, Tristan Purdon has immediately impressed aboard the KX450, securing a run of strong results as well as the team’s first MX1 podium. Kick-starting next season within familiar surroundings, and on the newly updated KX450F, Tristan will be looking to become a regular podium contender.
Partnering Tristan and previously announced Taylor Hammal in the MX1 class will be Charlie Cole. After a tough year due to injury, Charlie will be spending the winter recuperating and recovering, ready to be back at full fitness for 2027.
Joel Rizzi will also be remaining with the squad for next season, ready to challenge for MX2 honours. Having already achieved podiums in 2026, and with the KX250 seeing a host of technical upgrades over the winter, Joel will no doubt be coming out swinging at round one.
Tristan Purdon:
“I’m really happy to be staying with SevenSeven2 Ride Kawasaki for next season. The team gave me an opportunity midway through this year, and from the moment I joined, the season really turned around. We’ve got a great bunch of guys in the team, and having that good atmosphere around you makes such a difference, especially on race day. The bikes have been great, and I’m really looking forward to swinging my leg over the new models and seeing what we can achieve together.
I’m looking forward to a strong off-season of testing, dialling in the new KX450F, and working with the team to keep moving forward. Hopefully we can come out swinging next season and build on what we achieved this year.”
Charlie Cole:
“I’m really happy to spend another year with the team. 2026 has been an awful year fighting injuries, but we’re all fixed and ready to get after it in 2027. I can’t thank Chad and Craig enough for sticking behind me; they have an amazing group of people within the team, and I’m really excited to get back on the bike.”
Joel Rizzi:
“I’m excited to continue with SevenSeven2 Ride Kawasaki for 2027! We’ve done a lot of work this year and I think we are there now, which means this winter and next season we can fully focus on our goals and I’m sure we’ll have a much more positive year. I’m really looking forward to it and getting back to work with the crew”
