Racing Returns to Track N Trail with 2026 Hare and Hounds Event

The well-renowned West Country events organiser Track N Trail will host a Hare and Hounds race on the 19th April, as they return to racing for the first time in a number of years in 2026.

The meeting will be an American-style fast and furious 3-hour race held at the Thorncombe venue in Dorset, and will look to recapture the days when over 300 riders used to race in their fantastic Hare and Hound Championship rounds.

On their Facebook page, Track N Trail said:

You’ve been asking and we’ve been listening, recently a lot of you have been reminiscing over our old legendary race series and we have too. This one off American style Hare & Hound will be a nod to our races of old with the simple race format mixed with our modern style of track layout. It is sure to be the perfect modern classic race.

Our venue of choice for this much awaited race is going to be the infamous Thorncombe. With the venue being fully renovated in 2025 and no events until we return in April it will be in absolute premium condition! A huge mix in terrain from woodlands to grass fields and also hills and marshlands, not to mention the seemingly endless flat out streams, it will truly determine the best all round riders.

We will be catering for all abilities whether it’s your first race or your 50th. Track n Trail prides itself on designing tracks that are both fun and rideable for all abilities and generations.

More information, including entries, to come in January.
