Mce Team Wales to defend their Motocross Nations Classique title in France

MCE Team Wales returns to Ahun, central France, to defend their title at the Motocross Nations Classique de France on the 22nd to 24th of August.

Opposition from over 400 riders, representing 18 national teams, is expected to be strong this year with Team France revealing a mammoth squad led by 2-time FIM world champion and AMA supercross legend Mickael Pichon, alongside le Touquet winner Rudy Vergriette.

Team Wales will be fielding a 24-man and female team, fronted by Carl Jones ( facing his nemesis Vergrette) in the EVO, Rhys Walker in the pre-75 class, Kyle Noble, twinshock, both British Classic front runners, Brad and Mckaulee Malin EVO and super EVO, ex-Welsh grand prix rider Llyr Thomas out of retirement and spinning some fast laps. Representing the ladies will be Tanisha Thomas, who has turned many heads this season with some podium finishes and some impressive racing.

The team recently carried out a successful launch day with preparations at the Meidrim MX track undertaken by ex-pro rider and team member Steven Holmes. None of this would be possible of course without the massive commitment made by the team sponsors, led by Mitsui Components Europe Ltd, supported by Gilbert Engineering, TRT Welding Services, Malpross Civil Engineering, The Bar Hire Co, Warmaglaze, Pembrokeshire Caravans, The Action Snap Factory, Brew and Co, Fix Off Road, Greenlight Technology Solutions, Weller Racing, Mia Pizza Bella and BCL Auto Diesel. The team thanks them for their outstanding support.
