Building on the explosive success of the 2026 series, the official ACU backed British Arenacross championship remains fiercely homegrown, exclusively showcasing the absolute best of British talent and teams, with the AX Pro Class looking more stacked than ever.

This £150,000 purse isn’t just a milestone; it’s a game-changing commitment to British motocross, solidifying Arenacross as the highest-paying championship in Europe.
Interest in the 2027 series is already gathering pace, with Arenacross reporting more enquiries from race teams, riders and manufacturers than ever before.
Among the developments is Ducati’s interest in entering an officially supported race team, while Kawasaki UK is planning to field another fully supported team, racing its all-new two-stroke alongside its existing team.
With some of the fastest riders competing in Britain expected to line up for the championship, Arenacross is working towards what it anticipates will be its strongest British Pro field to date.
The British Championship-only format proved a major success in 2026, bringing familiar names from the outdoor paddock into a very different racing environment. Tight indoor tracks, short races and little room for error put a different set of demands on riders, with every position fought for under the arena lights.
Arenacross creator Matt Bates said:

They stepped into the arenas, completely embraced a totally different style of racing, and put on an absolute masterclass. The fans backed them from the first gate drop, and we are ready to channel that incredible momentum straight into the 2027 championship.

Having Ducati join us with an officially supported team, alongside Kawasaki UK bringing their brand-new two-stroke with full factory backing, and Dirt Store Triumph coming indoors proves just how high the stature of Arenacross has become.
We are actively building the strongest British Pro line-up in our history. These are the elite athletes’ fans follow all summer outdoors. Come February, we get to drop them into sold-out Arena’s, put them under the lights, and let them race for the largest prize fund in the history of British Motocross.

The 2027 Arenacross British Championship gets underway at Birmingham’s bp pulse LIVE on 6 & 7 February, before heading to Belfast on 12 & 13 February and Aberdeen on 26 & 27 February.
