The name Mark Eastwood needs no introduction to any British MX fans; he’s a stalwart racer who has raced at the very highest levels of Schoolboy, British Championship, GP and AMA nationals and is still super-fast and competitive today. He won the over-50 class at VMXdN 2025, and he’s back for VMXdN Hawkstone 2026 to defend his title.
Mark is the son of famous GP racer Vic Eastwood and carries the same tenacity on the track, though one of the most approachable guys you could wish to meet, once he takes his helmet off, that is! The family Honda dealership in Swanley is where you will find Mark nowadays, as his ever-popular suspension modification company, ERS, shares his wealth of knowledge with younger racers. The shop is also an importer of Wiseco pistons. He will be racing a well-sorted Honda CR250, which is his favoured machine, and is sure to be at the sharp end of the racing when the gate drops on the August bank holiday weekend (27-30).
With six months still to go before the event, there is plenty more rider news to come, but the anticipation for the most talked-about race on the British MX calendar, VMXdN, brought to you by The Range, is at an all-time high. Promoters Rob ‘DocWob’ Walters and Dave King are urging fans who wish to camp to be quick to secure their camping pass asap to avoid disappointment, as there are limited camping spots available.
Take full advantage of it being a bank holiday weekend, as the weekend starts when the gates open at 12 noon on Thursday, August 27th. With the annual Show’N’Shine display, autograph signing, trade village and beer tent, there is plenty to keep you entertained before the racing action commences on Saturday, August 29th.
VMXdN is the event that legends past and present from around the Globe will take to the line to go bar to bar just like the golden era of ’90s motocross.
