Liam Everts impresses on his 450 debut at Ironman MXON!

Belgium’s Liam Everts proved he’s ready for the big leagues at the 2025 Motocross of Nations in Crawfordsville, Indiana — delivering two standout rides on a 450 that helped lift Team Belgium to fourth overall.

Riding for Nestaan Husqvarna Factory Racing, the 20-year-old made his MXoN Open class debut with 4-7 finishes, showing maturity and pace against the world’s best 450cc riders, giving American hero Eli Tomac a good run for his money.

“I felt comfortable on the 450 all weekend,” Everts said. “Race two was really strong – I found a good rhythm, made clean passes, and we were right there in the fight for the podium. Seventh in race three kept the points coming and helped Belgium secure fourth overall.”

Son of ten-time world champion Stefan Everts, Liam has been carving his own path through the MX2 ranks, with multiple Grand Prix wins and podiums over the past two seasons. His MXoN performance, however, signalled something more — a glimpse of his potential future on the bigger bike.

While teammate Kay de Wolf dominated MX2 and RJ Hampshire fought hard for Team USA, Everts’ composure and precision on the 450 stood out. His smooth riding style, clean passes, and race intelligence earned widespread praise in the paddock.
