Nestaan Husqvarna’s Kay de Wolf will miss the MXGP of Argentina, it has been confirmed, following a crash at the Sommières pre-season race where he picked up a thumb injury.
Hopes were high that the Dutch racer would be fit enough to race this weekend at the World Championship opener, but after testing out his thumb in Lommel today, he was in too much pain to race.
Let’s hope we see him back on track for Round 2.
The team said on their announcment:
“Thumb injury puts Kay on the sidelines for Argentina.
“He tried everything to line up this weekend, but now the focus shifts to recovery and being ready for Spain.
“We regroup, we recover, we come back stronger 🚀”
