John Adamson steps away from MX racing

Scotland’s all-action racer John Adamson has announced today on his social media that he is stepping away from racing Motocross after revealing that he has torn his ACL while training.

Adamson started the season in good form, riding a Fantic 250 2 Stroke for the Phoenix Tools Fantic Racing team, but now he has had to say goodbye to racing, although we will possibly see him racing Arenacross in the winter.

Whatever the future holds, we send our best wishes to John, and we hope to see him at the tracks in some capacity in the future.

Down and this time out 🏳️🤕🩼

An old @petergreenwoodoffroadphotos photo came up today. 8 years ago I started riding again just for fun with my guy big Scot.

Never did I think it would turn into traveling all over Europe and even America racing my bike as a job. Managed a few pro titles along the way and meet so many amazing friends for life.

Started for fun and ended having fun with the whole @phoenixtoolsracing crew. Fustrating for everyone as finally at hawkstone I felt comfortable with the bike and the next week tore my ACL while training.

Have a job to walk just now so MX is out the window and this is a goodbye to racing.

Got some plans to race indoors over the winter but will need to see how the recover and knee is.

Been so many people helped me along the way and I’ll be forever grateful to them. Allowing me to do what every young kid riding bikes dreams of ❤️
