Jamie McCanney takes 2026 Enduro GB opening win at Jack Frost Enduro

Triumph Racing’s Jamie McCanney claimed overall victory at the opening round of the 2026 Enduro GB Championship, while Nieve Holmes and Rosie Rowett shared top honours in the Elite Women’s class at the Jack Frost Enduro.

Rounds 1 and 2 of the ACU series were hosted by Rhayader Motor Club at the Cwmythig Hill MX track in Mid Wales, where tough conditions across the weekend tested both riders and machinery.

Two challenging special tests, featuring technical sections and demanding terrain, provided quality racing and highlighted the intensity of the discipline.

Reigning British Enduro Champion McCanney set the pace throughout to take the overall win. Behind him, Jack Edmondson secured second for P.A.R Homes KTM, with Jed Etchells completing the podium for Motofit Sherco.

In the Elite Women’s category, defending champion Holmes and Rowett split the wins across the two rounds, underlining the strength and depth in the class.

“The first two rounds of the season were a superb spectacle and we hope the competitiveness across all the classes has set the tone for the rest of the season,” Enduro GB championship manager, Neil Hawker, said.

“Rhayader Motor Club put on a fantastic event as they joined the Enduro GB calendar for the first time and I want to say a huge thank you to all the event staff, marshals, and medics for their hard work, professionalism, and support throughout the event. Their efforts behind the scenes make weekends like this possible.
