JK Racing Yamaha’s British Young Gun Jamie Keith’s 2025 season could be over with the rider posting on his social media that he has to undergo surgery on an injury to his foot he picked up while training in Germany.

After a phenomenal 2024 season, where he went toe-to-toe with Josh Vail for the British Youth Championship and won the Yamaha YZ bLU cRU FIM Europe Cup SuperFinale in front of his home fans at Matterley Basin during the Motocross of Nations, 2025 has not gone to plan for the Cumbrian.

After starting the year with a superb win in the 125cc class of the Hawkstone International, where he took the chequers in all three motos, everything was set for bright year for the 17 year old as he headed into the EMX125 campaign for his new team at the Spanish mudfest, where he snapped his collarbone. This meant a spell on the sidelines where he missed the opening MXGB round before he made a return at Round 2, which he won, although far from fit.
Further EMX up and downs have seen him far from reaching his potential, and this latest blow could see him sit out the rest of the year. We wish Jamie a speedy recovery.

“Just come out of surgery as i’m writing this and safe to say, i think my 2025 is over, the surgeon has said that it will take a minimum of 3 months to get back to 100%.
