Young British motocross prospect Jack Waters will head into this weekend’s EMX65 European Championship Final as one of the riders to beat after securing an impressive overall victory at the second and final EMX Semi-Final in Pärnu, Estonia.

The JL Cox Motorsport KTM rider put together a near-perfect weekend, taking victory in the opening moto before following it up with second in Race Two to claim the overall win on 47 points and arrive in Loket full of confidence.
Waters was untouchable in the opening race, leading from the front to take the chequered flag ahead of Dutch rider Bas Verspaandonk and Latvia’s Bruno Geitus. He then backed that performance up with another measured ride in Race Two, finishing second behind Sweden’s Elis Isidorsson to comfortably secure the overall honours.
The result makes Waters one of the leading contenders going into this weekend’s EMX65 European Championship Final, which takes place alongside the MXGP of Czech Republic at Loket.
Fellow Brit Tommy Wood also enjoyed an impressive weekend, finishing ninth overall to comfortably qualify for the European Championship Final, as did Madden Visser in 14th.
Dale Podiums in EMX85
There was more British success in the EMX85 category as Harry Dale claimed an excellent third overall.
After finishing fifth in the opening moto, Dale stepped things up in Race Two with an impressive runner-up finish to earn his place on the overall podium behind Latvian twins Martins and Patriks Cirulis, with Martins completing a perfect weekend by winning both races.
Britain will also be well represented in the EMX85 Final after Nixon Coppins secured ninth overall, while Arthur King (13th), Jett Gardiner (17th), Cohen Jagielski (18th) and Casey Lister (19th) all qualified for Loket.
With Waters arriving as the winner of the final EMX65 Semi-Final and a strong British contingent qualifying across both classes, there will be plenty of interest in how the young British riders fare against Europe’s best this weekend in the Czech Republic.
