Jack Edmondson takes overall win at Butley! ACU Eastern Centre Enduro Championship – Race Report & Results

Fresh from a good ride at the final round of the British Championship, Jack Edmondson made the trip from the Midlands and took his 250 Sherco to an overall win at the GH Hockey M/Cs Butley ACU Eastern Enduro Championship round.

All the top riders praised Woodbridge Club for setting out an excellent 6 mile course on the very sandy farmland at Butley. The ground was in excellent condition after the recent heavy rain on Friday night so dust was minimal. The Championship class faced 10 laps of the course with the check times progressively tightening from 37 to 13 minutes.

Riders had 3 special tests and Eddy won two out of the three tests with the final test being won by Luke Parker – Gas Gas. Having a fantastic ride following winning the British Championship Experts, was Ben Clark – Sherco 300. Ben was right behind Eddy on the tests and finishing clean on the last lap so came second overall which is a really great result. Parker finished 3rd just ahead of Ben Cole – Husky on a GH MC Husky. 5th overall was none other than former MX star Aston Bird just having a ride for the fun.

In the Expert class Joe Hall Gas Gas 250 took the honours from Adam Durkin KTM 350.3rd was Ryan McDonnell. The experts had to complete 9 laps of the course.

The Expert Vet Class was won by Julian Harvey on a KTM 125 from Phill Roper and Darren Nicoloau.

Best Clubman was Ride 57 Bryron Jenness on a KTM 350 who had a 3 second advantage over Robert Armitage on a Sherco 250, with Jonathan Finch 3rd.

The Clubman Vet class was won by Spencer Newland on a KTM 350, with Raymond Otaka 2nd and Christian Drane 3rd.

In the Clubman Supervet class, John Hilton on a KTM 300 took the win from Jez Moss and Paul Davis.
Overall a great day in Autumn sunshine and a big thanks to the landowner who let Woodbridge Club run the event a bit later this year.

The final round of the ACU Eastern Championship is the Muntjac on 20 November. The points are very close after a lot of riders got penalised for booking in early at the Santon Enduro in February.
