Regular series contender Tommy Searle continued his Championship battle, now aboard the Triumph TF 450-RC, joined for the final round by wildcard teammate Dylan Woodcock, who brought fresh momentum to the team. The Abu Dhabi round also marked the debut of the team’s DeWalt title-sponsored graphics kit, a proud highlight for the closing event.

Qualifying went smoothly for the team, with Searle securing 6th and Woodcock finishing 8th—setting a strong foundation for the night ahead.

Heat Races: Early Momentum –

In the first heat race, Searle powered out of the gate with a holeshot, commanding the lead for most of the race. Meanwhile, Woodcock battled through early positions, following Soubeyras past Chatfield into 4th place. Despite leading for nearly the entire race, a late charge from Soubeyras in the final whoop section saw Tommy narrowly edged out at the line, finishing 2nd, with Dylan holding strong in 4th.

In the second heat, Woodcock showed excellent reaction time to get the better start. A tight start straight saw Searle go elbow-to-elbow with Joan Cros, pushing him back to 6th in turn 1. Following a crash involving Stephen Clarke, both Triumph riders capitalised, moving into 4th (Woodcock) and 5th (Searle). Another set of solid results from the pair guaranteed their spot in the final—avoiding the Head-to-Head rounds.

Main Event: Highs and Lows –

Both Searle and Woodcock lined up for the final with confidence. However, on lap 4, Searle’s night took a dramatic turn. After clipping a tough block in the rhythm section, his rear wheel locked, sending him over the bars. He landed heavily on his back, prompting an immediate red flag and medical attention. Searle was unable to restart the race.

After the restart, Woodcock battled through a crowded first turn in 8th. Dylan then made his way to 7th, before duelling for 6th with Eddie Wade. Dylan’s pressure on the Stark rider finally came to fruition on the final lap, where a mistake from Wade allowed Woodcock to claim 6th place across the line.

Injury Update: Tommy Searle –

Following further medical evaluation, doctors have confirmed that Tommy Searle sustained fractures to his T4, T5, T6, and T7 vertebrae. He will undergo a thorough recovery process and the team will continue to monitor his progress slowly. An exact date of return is currently unclear, but Tommy will be sure to get back on the bike as soon as the team are given full medical clearance.
