Giveaway Life and Air Ambulances UK collaborate to raise vital funds in memory of Jude Morris 101

The leading motocross competition business Giveaway Life has been working in partnership with Air Ambulances UK to raise vital funds for air ambulance charities in memory of the exceptionally talented motocross rider, Jude Morris, who died racing at the British Motocross Championship at Duns in Scotland in August.

Jude, #101, was described by the Auto Cycle Union (ACU) as “one of the leading youth riders within the UK” and many top motocross athletes saw him as a rising star. He was also well known in the paddock for his eagerness to help others and thus “an inspiration to lots and lots of people,” with his family being overwhelmed by the number of messages they received “from people we didn’t know,” as well as previous world champions Jeffrey Herlings and Stefan Everts.

Giveaway Life aim to do everything they possibly can to continue Jude’s legacy forever and make it one that the Morris family can cherish for life. Jude’s loving father, Mark Morris, set up a fundraiser for Air Ambulances UK so that he could positively contribute to the motocross community with a charity that will help riders throughout their whole career. Therefore, Giveaway Life have been collaborating with many household names in the motocross industry to raise as much money as possible for Air Ambulances UK – and the response so far has been phenomenal.

The founders of Giveaway Life, Jake Daffern and Callum Swan, discussed how they could make Jude’s legacy one to remember and this is where the ideas came to life. The previous and upcoming charity raffles have consisted of once in a lifetime experiences and exceptional prizes, such as a signed #101 number board, rider’s jerseys and helmets, a Justin Barcia meet and greet, and a Bad Boy Chiller Crew meet and greet.

To date, Giveaway Life has donated over £3,500 to Air Ambulances UK and the charity has been incredibly touched by the way in which the motocross community has united in support of Jude’s memory, raising funds to help air ambulance charities give the best possible chance of survival to people who are in urgent need of lifesaving pre-hospital care following a sudden life-threatening injury or illness.

Simmy Akhtar, CEO of Air Ambulances UK, said:

“We are so very grateful to Giveaway Life for all the wonderful support in memory of Jude Morris, which will help to support the lifesaving work of air ambulances in the UK. We have been overwhelmed by the generosity of the motocross community.”

The first charity raffle Giveaway Life completed was the popular meet and greet with world champion Justin Barcia, as well as a signed jersey. This was won by a doting fan who selflessly entered for her partner who has always been a huge Barcia fan. This raffle raised a total of £1,026 which was donated to Air Ambulances UK.

The second raffle finished this week, which was the #101 number board that Callum Swan had signed by all the famous motocross riders at the Two Stroke Festival and The Revo ACU British Motocross Championship, including Tommy Searle, Jonny Walker and Bradley Smith. The winner exclaimed her gratitude when the founders informed her of the win. Giveaway Life donated a staggering £2,528 to Air Ambulances UK for this raffle, which was astounding for all involved.

The current Giveaway Life raffle includes an authentic Ben Watson jersey that the top athlete raced in when he recently won the MXoN MXGP class in Mantova, Italy. The competition business founders state, “this is just the start” and their unique upcoming raffles include jerseys donated from Liam Everts, Bas Vaessen, Courtney Duncan, a helmet from Dan Thornhill and a meet and greet with the famous British Bassline Collective, Bad Boy Chiller Crew, due to their shared love for the motocross industry.

Jake Daffern, Cofounder of Giveaway Life, said:

“We would like to thank Air Ambulances UK for collaborating with us to create a memorable journey for the Morris family to treasure forever. We would also like to thank each and every individual who has donated to the incredible charity and all the riders who have selflessly donated their kits to create unforgettable prizes for winners, whilst creating a fantastic legacy for Jude Morris.”
