The 2026 AllClear Services Ltd Formula Grasstrack Championship returns to action this Saturday, 4th July, as Round 4 takes the series to the Malpas Farm Shop venue for the first time this season. The
meeting will be staged in memory of Tom Thomas, with the popular Malpas circuit also hosting Round 1 of the Best Pairs Championship alongside the main individual standings.

After three rounds of close, hard-fought racing at Sparrington Farm, and twice at Leamington Victory, a strong entry has been confirmed across all classes for Malpas, with the championship picture set to
take another twist for several of the leading contenders.
Round 4 at Malpas promises to be a day full of family storylines, with not one but two remarkable multigenerational tales set to dominate the meeting.
Highly poignant is the debut of Teleri Hughes in the E-Bike class. Teleri is the daughter of Grasstrack Sidecar racer Shaun Hughes and the grand-daughter of Senior frontrunner Phil Thomas, making her
very first grasstrack appearance at Malpas a genuine family occasion for the Thomas camp. With grandfather Phil, and Great-Uncle Graham in action in the Senior class on the same afternoon, it will be a day to remember for the Thomas and Hughes families regardless of results.
In what is believed to be a rare feat, three generations of the Worrall family will line up at the same meeting. Grandfather Antony Worrall takes his place in the Senior class, son Ben Worrall joins him there, while grandson Harry Worrall – who has been one of the most consistent Auto class performers of the season – competes in the Autos. It is a quite extraordinary family occasion and one of the standout stories of the 2026 season so far.
Reigning Champion Wayne Broadhurst arrives at Malpas in commanding form, having completed an unbeaten meeting at Round 3 with a string of lightning starts that went unchallenged throughout the afternoon. He leads the overall standings on 120 points and heads a strong Senior entry that includes closest challenger Graham Thomas (117 points) and Kevin Gwillam (112 points), both of whom will be
looking to chip away at Broadhurst’s advantage on Saturday.

Adam Hawker (107 points) and Charlie Glaze (92 points) are also confirmed for Malpas, along with Phil Thomas, Theo Copestake, Nigel Bowkett, Den Edwards, Colin How and Glyn Edwards, all of whom have shown strong consistency across the opening three rounds. Oliver Glaze, who sits tenth in the overall standings on 73 points, has also entered as a late addition. Antony Worrall, Marcus Crutchington and Sue Dowling also return to action having already featured earlier in the season, while Sam Hall, Russell Hall, Ben Worrall and Paul Dufty make their first appearances of the campaign, adding fresh depth to an already competitive class.
The E-Bike class has produced some of the most thrilling racing of the season, and all of the leading contenders are confirmed for Malpas. Cruz Harris arrives full of confidence after posting a seven-ride maximum at Round 3 on his new machine, getting the better of reigning champion Reggie Goodwin throughout the meeting.
Goodwin still leads the overall standings on 74 points courtesy of his earlier consistency, with Oscar South second on 69 points and Hadlee Jones – the class’ most improved rider this year – third on 68. Harris’ Round 3 maximum has lifted him to fourth overall on 46 points, just ahead of Harry Wicks on 44.
Blake Woolley, Florence Rickards and Maddie Adams complete a strong Malpas line-up, with Maddie also having picked up the Youth Rider of the Day award at Leamington. Late entrant Teleri Hughes
adds to what promises to be a memorable afternoon of E-Bike racing.
With Levi Collins and Kobi Gutteridge not on the entry list for Malpas, the Auto class spotlight falls on Grayson Rickards and Harry Worrall, both confirmed for Round 4. Worrall has been in strong recent form, sitting second overall on 68 points, while Rickards continues to push hard for the podium having impressed throughout the season. JJ Falconer and Oxford Speedway mascot Isla Gannon – who
claimed the Rider of the Day award on her grasstrack debut at Round 3 – round out a competitive Auto entry.
In the Cadet class, Dalton Wright returns to Malpas off the back of a standout Round 3, where he completed all seven rides in the combined Auto and Cadet races while frequently pressuring Levi Collins. Wright leads the Cadet standings on 49 points and will be the class’ sole representative once again on Saturday.
Reigning Cub Champion Lucas Astley has been imperious throughout the opening three rounds and arrives at Malpas at the top of the Championship standings, having held off a hard-charging Rogan
Woolley at Round 3. Astley leads the championship on 74 points, with Woolley second on 70 and LillieMai Warwick – who has improved with every outing – third on 63. All three are confirmed for Saturday’s meeting.
Albie South’s difficult run of luck continued at Round 3, where gearbox problems hampered his afternoon, though he battled on for a third-place finish on the day and will be hoping for better fortune at
Malpas following a flawless showing at the FGA Speedway meeting recently. Dakota Wright, the reigning Cadet Champion, continues to show progress on his new machine, while Kaylem Bourne and the returning Lilly Bence complete an excellent Cubs entry.
Archie Whitelam has been the class of the Junior field all season and heads to Malpas yet to be bettered, having edged another entertaining battle with John Cox Jr at Round 3, with the pair finishing
first and second respectively for the second meeting running. Whitelam leads the standings on 75 points, with Cox Jr close behind on 70, and the two look set to renew their rivalry as the sole confirmed
entries in the class for Saturday.
Practice starts at 12:00, with tapes up for the first race at 13:00. Admission is free to Spectators.
