For the first time in its sixteen-year history, the FIM Flat Track World Championship powered by HKC Koopmann, Anlas, Kineo, Blackburst and KW will travel outside of Europe with the ninth and final round of the extended 2026 series set to be staged over the weekend of 24-25 October in Argentina.
First contested in 2011 when it was promoted as the FIM Flat Track Cup won by Italy’s Marco Belli, the FIM Flat Track World Championship has grown in popularity and the 2026 calendar – that for this season has been extended from six to a record nine rounds – will increase its worldwide reach with the deciding round in South America cementing its reputation as a global series.
To be staged in Totoras in the province of Santa Fe, the event will be organised between the Mas Eventos club – that has considerable experience running rounds of the FIM Motocross World Championship and the 6DAYS® FIM Enduro of Nations – and UFC Totoras with support from the Argentine Federation (CAMOD) and the FIM.
Armando Castagna, Director of the FIM Track Racing Commission, said: “For the first time in its history, the FIM Flat Track World Championship will be hosted outside Europe – in Argentina. This achievement reflects a long term collective effort and a shared commitment to expanding this championship globally. We extend our appreciation to Mas Eventos, UFC Totoras, CAMOD and all partnering institutions, as well as the many individuals whose work over the years has made this project possible.”

This world-class event will take place in an iconic location that will become the epicentre of adrenalin and passion for high-level motorcycle racing.
“We are deeply grateful for the trust placed in our institution to host this high-calibre event and we look forward to welcoming all motorcycle enthusiasts to enjoy this unique spectacle that will go down in the history of motorsports in Argentina. See you in Totoras to experience this historic event together!”
David Eli, Mas Eventos General Coordinator, added: “It is a great honour for us to organise Flat Track in Argentina for the first ever time and for this to be the first world championship competition on South American soil. Without a doubt, this is a milestone and we are very proud that Santa Fe and the outstanding Totoras venue are the first to kick off a new era in this wonderful racing discipline.”
