Phil Nicoletti first came to the VMXdN in 2025 and left as part of the victorious American squad. He is keen to come to Hawkstone for this year’s race, though the only change is that he is racing the Evo Ultra class and working in the commentary booth for the International team race. He feels like he did his part last year and wants to come and enjoy himself without the pressure of trying to retain that number one plate. He wants to race, but without the added strain of the vocal American public, who take a very active interest in the event.
Nicoletti is a super likeable and approachable racer with a huge personality. He hails from upstate New York and has been a regular at the AMA Supercross and Outdoor Nationals over the last decade, and more recently is a Canadian National champion. Now retired from full-time racing he is a brand ambassador for the FXR clothing brand which is also a sponsor of the event.

He will have his mechanic Richie Brown back and working on the bike at the event. Look out for the build on a future episode of DocWob TV.
