Farleigh Castle Vets MX outlines classes for September event!

Following on from last week’s announcement of the change of ownership for the famous Farleigh Castle Vets MX, traditionally held in September, comes news of this year’s classes for the 2024 event to be held on 13th, 14th, and 15th of September.

Entries will be going live very soon and will be a little later than previously advertised due to the systems needed to be in place. The team are all hands on deck currently and hope to have the entries live by mid-February but have promised that there will be plenty of notice about the go live date and the process via their social media channels as detailed below so make sure you are following to hear the news first!

Now for the important part…Entries will be released over two days, the over 50’s classes to be released on day one, and all the other classes released on day two. Dates for this to be announced as detailed above.
Get prepared and make note of the classes as follows:

Day 1 release (OVER 50’s GROUPS)

  • EVO OPEN (up to 1989)
  • SUPER EVO OPEN (up to 1996)
  • EVO ULTRA OPEN (up to 2008)

Day 2 release (ALL OTHER CLASSES)

  • TWINSHOCK OPEN (over 35’s)
  • ALL 125’s (up to 1996, over 30’s)
  • SUPER EVO OPEN (up to 1996)
  • EVO ULTRA 125 (up to 2008, any age – over 16)
  • EVO ULTRA OPEN (up to 2008, over 30’s,)

Please note the following rules for classes and machines

  • Twinshock machines – air cooled, drum brakes, twin shocks (includes single shock machines up to 1982)
  • Evo Machines -any age up to and including 1989
  • Super Evo Machines – any age up to and including 1996
  • Evo Plus 2-stroke machines – any age up to and including 2002
  • Evo Ultra 2-stroke machines – any age up to and including 2008
  • Age brackets – Rider must be specified age on race day

In addition to the classes above the event will also host ‘The Farleigh Castle Team Race’.

All teams will consist of three riders, riding Evo Plus machines, with no age restrictions placed on the riders. International and National teams wishing to register their interest can do so by emailing the following information to hello@farleighcastlevetsmx.co.uk by Friday 1st March.

  • Team Name
  • Team Sponsor
  • Nationality
  • Team manager and contact details
  • Riders’ names
  • Machinery being used.
    *NB. There are only 20 team places available.

Entries will be going live mid-February with a date TBC, with spectator and camping passes to be available online a week after.
