Nieve Holmes continued her impressive 2025 season with commanding wins at both the Welsh Open Sprint Championship and the British Enduro Championship aboard her Team KBS Sherco SEF 250 4T.
At Round 2 of the Welsh Open Sprint Championship, held on 30th May at Saintswell in Mid Wales, Nieve overcame a challenging start after the Women’s class started near the back of the order for the opening test. Undeterred, she worked her way swiftly up the leaderboard and went on secure a confident win in the Women’s class, further extending her championship lead. The next round of the series will take place on 6th July at Fron.

One week later, attention turned to the 2025 British Enduro Championship, with Rounds 3 and 4 hosted by Hafren Dirt Bike Club on 7th–8th June. Holmes was in dominant form throughout the weekend, winning every single test on both days. She finished 3.5 minutes ahead of second place on Saturday, and followed it up with a 2.5-minute winning margin on Sunday, strengthening her lead in the overall standings. Rounds 5 and 6 of the championship head to Catterick on 12th–13th July.
Saintswell also provided valuable preparation for the GP of Wales, which takes place at the same venue later this summer as part of the 2025 Expotrade FIM Women’s Enduro World Championship. Holmes will enter her home race lying third in the championship, just four points off second and ten from the leader – a tightly fought battle that promises drama and excitement in Mid Wales. With fond memories of her first world championship podium there last year, Holmes will be aiming to build on her strong form and push for more top results.
