Dirt Hub: Do you have a Pre-Race playlist you listen to, and if so, name a couple of tracks that are on it?
Sam: A Bit of Richie Kavanagh or Marty Mone gets me revved up before a race.
DH: When was the last time you cried?
Sam: Wouldn’t really know the answer to that one, would have been a couple of years ago now.
DH: What is your favourite inspirational quote?
Sam: If you don’t know, get to know
DH: Do you have any weird suspicions or pre-race rituals?
Sam: Nothing major, really, just have to have the right sock on the right foot.
DH: What drives you most to get up in the morning and to go training?
Sam: To show people what’s what

DH: If you didn’t race, what sport would you play?
Sam: Would probably give rugby a good go, as I’ve always enjoyed watching the games.
DH: What is your biggest Phobia?
Sam: Snakes
DH: Who is your biggest sporting idol and why?
Sam: Would have to be Billy Bolt, he’s just good to watch and has come from nowhere to being best in world.
DH: Where do you see yourself in five years’ time?
Sam: Hoping to have some British titles under my belt and be a strong contender.
DH: What is your all-time favourite movie?
Sam: Gotta be Ali G
DH: Who has had the biggest impact on your career?
Sam: Would have to be my old man. He’s supported everything I’ve done and taken me everywhere.
DH: What is your philosophy on life?
Sam: Just go with the flow
