Dirty Dozen with Max Harris

Dirty Dozen with Max Harris

Max Harris put in one of the standout performances of the year to win the third round of the Scottish Motocross Championship in the MX2 class at Elgin, as well as notching up some strong Motul British Motocross Championship results, so we thought it was high time he answered our Dirty Dozen questions…

Dirt Hub: Do you have a Pre-Race playlist you listen to? If so, name a couple of tracks on it.

Max: No, music isn’t normally one of my go too’s

DH: When was the last time you cried?

Max: I’m not sure😂

DH: What is your favourite inspirational quote?

Max: Hard work will always beat talent

DH: Do you have any weird suspicions or pre-race rituals?

Max: For me, it’s always left knee brace on first and left glove first haha

DH: What drives you most to get up in the morning and to go training?

Max: When a race weekend goes right, I train so hard in the week to get that feeling of doing well again and making the people around me proud

DH: If you didn’t race, what sport would you play or take part in?

Max: Whilst training for motocross the past few years, I’ve really enjoyed cycling and running so I’d probably go with one of them

DH: What is your biggest Phobia?

Max: My biggest phobia would be when I got on the big one at Blackpool Pleasure Beach, as we got to the top, all I could see was the sea haha

DH: Who is your biggest sporting idol and why?

Max: In motocross, I’d go with either Jeffrey Herlings or Ken Roczen because of the amount of injuries and strain they have been through, but always come back fighting for wins

DH: Where do you see yourself in five years’ time?

Max: I have just turned 17, so 5 years for me is pretty far, but my goal is to just have fu,n make some good memories with my friends and famil,y and try to get some good results along the way

DH: What is your all-time favourite movie?

Max: Either Bennett’s War or The Gentleman

DH: Who has had the biggest impact on your career?

Max: My dad, nobody sees the amount of work that goes on behind the scenes

DH: What is your philosophy on life?

Max: To just enjoy life and do whatever makes you happy
