Dutch racer Davy Pootjes is the latest European racer to be snapped up by a British team, with the former Factory KTM rider joining SAS TPC KTM for the final three rounds of the Motul ACU British Motocross Championship, starting at the Duns double header on the 30th and 31st August.
Team Owner Drew Smith & Assistant Team Manager Brett Smith, said of the signing, “We are super excited to bring a household name ex-factory KTM Davy Pootjes to the British paddock for the Motul ACU British Motocross Championship. Whilst he is focusing on his training career at the moment, he is still young at 27 years old and was up for getting back on a motorcycle! Davy will be showcasing his original number 46 in the MX2 class. We are excited to see how he performs for the last three rounds of the series at Duns and Lyng. He has previously been teammates and rode alongside several riders in the MXGB series already, including Conrad Mewse, Tommy Searle and Adam Sterry.”

The Dutchman will be working alongside his previous JWR Honda mechanic, Jack Fleming, who carries on a great bond going into the races.
Davy of the move to race in the UK said: “I am really excited to come back and race after 2 years. Gonna be a tough few weeks as I haven’t been training or riding for 2 years, but all I want is to just have fun, and see my old friends again at the track. The UK is one of my favourite countries to come to, Let’s have some fun 💪🏼.
