British Supercross and Arenacross specialist Dyland Woodcock was recently signed by the Dirt Store Triumph Racing team for the British Arenacross Championship, and with that series down to three rounds, it has given the Essex-based racer the chance to head stateside once again to race in the Monster Energy Supercross Championship, but this time racing in the 450’s.
We caught up with him ahead of racing at A1 at Angel Stadium in Anaheim this Saturday…
Dirt Hub: Great news on your ride for Arenacross with Dirt Store Triumph. How did that come about?
Dylan: Last year, before the AX series went to Abu Dhabi, myself and Dirtstore had been in contact about trying to make something happen and from there it all happened quite naturally.
DH: Arenacross is only 3 rounds in 2026, so it’s not as good for you, indoor specialists, so I suppose that has freed you up to do more in America, as we see you are racing A1 this weekend?
Dylan: With the AX dates starting on the 31st of January at the NEC arena, I thought about the idea of racing out here again and made it happen.

DH: You are riding in the 450 class at A1. How much are you looking forward to that, and what do you expect will be different to your time in the 250s?
Dylan: I think one of the main differences is when I ride a 250, I go out on the and one of the first sessions of the day. With the 450 class, I could be the 2nd to last or even last group on the track, so I would say that’s one of the main differences.
DH: How long have you been in the States so far, and how many rounds will you be doing?
Dylan: I’m planning on doing 3 rounds, then coming home for the AX world tour.

DH: Are you riding the Dirt Store Triumph 450 in America, or are you riding for another team?
Dylan: I am racing under the Dirt Store Triumph banner here in America. They have been great in helping me while I have been here, and in the process, leading up to coming out.
But my pit presence will be with one of my friends who owns a vacation company here called Mx Dreams California.
DH: What are your targets both in America and for the AX Tour?
Dylan: The Main target is always to have fun and enjoy it. But I have set myself some personal goals, and I have been working hard, so hopefully that shows in my riding.

DH: Once the indoor season has finished, will you be racing outdoors?
Dylan: No, I won’t be racing outdoors. It’s been a while since I’ve fully committed to riding outdoors.
But I will be racing the Vmxdn and hopefully staying active on the bike, riding some Supercross here and there, and maybe a little outdoors for fun. My main focus will be getting back to work and training all round.
