In MX1 Crendon Tru7 Honda’s Conrad Mewse has already sewn up the Championship, so this round is just for the bragging rights when it comes to the title but there are scores to settle throughout field, none more so than the battle between Chambers Racing’s Adam Sterry and Lexa MX’s Josh Gilbert after Gilbert was given the nod over Sterry for a Team GB Motocross of Nations place. Could there be a point to prove in the Sterry camp?

Other riders looking to end their season on a high note will be the DRT Kawasaki racer Taylor Hammal, Lexa MX’s John Adamson, Apico Honda’s Tom Grimshaw & Martin Barr, Brad Todd, Chris Mills, Chambers Racings Dan Thornhill and Phoenix Tools Fantic’s Carlton Husband, while there are some Eastern Centre riders who will be keen to show their worth on local soil including Max Broadbelt, Bayliss Utting and Declan Whittle.

Keep your eyes out too for the likes of Dylan Woodcock, Charlie Putnam, Liam Knight, Stu Edmonds and Charlie Cole, who will all be looking to impress ahead of the winter months and with 2026 team places in mind.

Tommy Searle is the red plate holder and strong favourite to take the MX2 title for the Dirt Store Racing team, having racked up a 29-point advantage over his closest rival, SC Sporthomes Husqvarna’s Charlie Heyman.  A second position in race one will seal the deal for Searle, so will he go all guns blazing to take the title early doors, or will he keep it calm and play the slightly longer game?

Just behind the lead duo is the ASA United GasGas racer Ben Mustoe, who has had a fantastic year and who could still mathematically take the title or second place if problems were to beset Searle or Heyman. In turn, though, Mustoe will have to watch out for the Gabriel SS24 KTM Spaniard, Oriol Oliver, who has 16 points to make up to for a chance of a championship podium. Oliver has GP speed and multiple race wins, so he will be a surefire contender for the overall win this weekend alongside those already mentioned.

There is also a fight for fifth in the Championship with Chambers Racing’s Glenn McCormick, Crendon Tru7 Honda’s Jake Nicholls and Dirt Store Triumphs Billy Askew all separated by just four points.  Watch out for Askew to try to end his season on a high!

Other riders gunning to be at the sharp end will be the impressive Joe Brookes, Eddie Jay Wade, who shocked everyone with a podium at Duns, Chambers Racing’s Ollie Colmer, Phoenix Tools Fantic’s Josh Vail, SAS TPC KTM’s Davy Pootjes, Worx Total Triumph’s Calum Mitchell, multi time European Womens champ Lucy Barker, Gabriel SS24 KTM’s Max Werner, AMCA British Champ Henry Williams and whole host of young guns, looking to make a name for themselves.

The 125cc class is a mirror of MX2, with Series leader Charlie Richmond holding a 29-point lead over second-place Ryan Waggott.  Richmond has stepped it up a notch at Duns and stormed to a perfect double round victory. Richmond said he will be going for the win, but still knows he needs to be sensible to be crowned the champ. You know, Waggott, who, alongside Richmond, will be moving up to the Pro ranks in 2026, will be looking to see out 2025 on the top step of the podium with a round victory at Lyng.

Yamaha YZ bLU cRU European Super Cup Champion Drew Stock showed at Blaxhall he has the speed and nous to win at this level, and he will be looking to get the start and manage the race to notch up another victory.  Hayden Statt is a rider who hasn’t managed to take the chequers yet, but his speed and talent are evident, and he has spent the majority of the season in the top three, so he will be keen to close out 25 on the top step.

Other riders looking to push themselves closer to the dominant aforementioned top four will be the consistent Harry Lee, the talented young Lucas Moncrieff, the fast-starting Zane Stephens, Eastern Centre Junior Champ Alfie Geddes-Green, the injury returnee Finley Pickering and the likes of Jack Evans and Joe Grainger.
