Worx Total Triumph racer Calum Mitchell has suffered a major setback in his return to racing after sustaining a broken femur in a crash during the final race of the day at Blaxhall Pits on Sunday.
The injury comes as a bitter blow for the rider, who had only recently been making positive progress in his recovery from a previous injury.
Following the incident, Calum was taken to hospital where he remains undergoing treatment and surgery for the injuries sustained in the accident.
In a statement released by his team, they confirmed that Calum’s health and recovery remain the priority and that he will be sidelined from racing for the foreseeable future during the 2026 season.
The team also stated that they will await the outcome of the accident investigation before making any further comment on the circumstances surrounding the crash.

It is with deep sadness that we must confirm Calum sustained a broken femur in the last race at Blaxhall Pits this past Sunday, following a freak crash. This news has come as a profound shock, particularly given that Calum has only recently been making strides in his recovery from a previous injury.
Calum remains in hospital, where he is currently undergoing operations and receiving treatment for the injuries he has suffered. Our thoughts and best wishes are firmly with him as he faces this challenging period, and we hope for a speedy and full recovery. At the same time, we must await the full results of the accident investigation before making any further comments on the circumstances surrounding the crash.
It is with regret that we acknowledge Calum will not be participating in any upcoming races in the near future of the 2026 season. His health and well-being will be our foremost priority as we move forward .
