The first leg of racing saw Kevin Gwillam take maximum points, including an excellent ride in race nine to get the better of Broadhurst, ending his run after twenty two straight race wins. Broadhurst was close behind, dropping a solitary point, tied with Sam Hall and the returning Billy Budd, who spent his day fighting his way through the pack in his heats.

Championship leaders Colin How and Adam Hawker were joint fifth, both recording a race win in their first batch of three heats, with Hawker getting the better of the flying Budd in race eleven.
Den Edwards had a good start to the afternoon, recording two strong second places and a third to take seventh at the halfway point. Behind Edwards saw Jack Crewe, Glyn Edwards and the Rowson brothers all square with nineteen points a-piece, with Anthony Rowson taking the chequered flag ahead of his brother Andrew, in heat twelve.

The Juniors saw the return of Archie Whitelam, who took race victories in four of his six heats ahead of Joe Bain and John Cox. Bain struggled with mechanical issues throughout the day, but managed two fantastic race wins after the interval. John Cox continued his pursuit of the Championship, finishing second on the day. The Cubs final saw Whitelam take top spot ahead of Cox & Bain.

The fast-starting Lucas Astley had some tough competition in the Cubs class, with Kaylem Bourne pushing him every inch of the way, both taking three wins each in the heats. AJ Bence had a mixed day with a new engine in his machine, having a couple of issues at the starting gate. Astley made another fantastic start in the final, and did enough to hold off Bourne and Bence.

In the Cadets class, Dakota Wright resumed his dominant performance this season, winning all of the heats ahead of Lilly Bence, and repeating the finishing order in the final. Junior Rider of the day Bence, despite some electric starts, couldn’t get the better of Wright.

Another strong entry in the Autos saw the younger Wright brother, Dalton, take full points in the heats and walk away with maximum Championship points on the day. Wright was quick and controlled throughout the day, working to stretch his lead in the Championship. Kobi Gutteridge pushed hard to take second place ahead of Harry Worrall, Noah Bakewell and Arlo Bourne. The final continued the theme of the day with Wright heading Gutteridge & Worrall.

Reggie Goodwin took the spoils of Championship points in the E-Bike class by two points, after taking four heat wins on the bounce. JJ Falconer found form in the second half of the afternoon to take two heat wins, riding a wide outside line to pass the fast starting Goodwin. The Final saw Falconer hit the front early in lap one, but Goodwin came on strong and almost beat Falconer on the run to the line.

Following the interval, Gwillam continued his perfect afternoon of heats to take the flag in all of his qualifying heats. Wayne Broadhurst took three straight wins to head in to the Finals in second place. Sam Hall carried on from where he left off, finishing with a really strong performance to go in to the Finals in third, ahead of How, Hawker and Glyn Edwards. Jack Crewe and Den Edwards rounded out the top eight.
Nick Chadwick took the spoils in the Senior D final, with Brandon Gutteridge unable to come to the tapes.

Isaac Collins-Bullock produced a sensational ride in the Senior C Final to claim top spot, ahead of the Glaze brothers, with Oliver besting Charlie to second. Jonny Childs took fourth place ahead of Steve Stait, Nathan Alder, Archie Palmer and Sue Dowling.
The Senior B final saw Billy Budd ride through the pack once again, to hit the front ahead of Ian Dudley, with Andrew Rowson finishing a good third. Elwyn Beedles took fourth after a mixed day, including slipping off battling for first in the earlier heats. Sam Crabtree took fifth ahead of Chris Chadwick, Senior Rider of the day, Theo Copestake, and Anthony Rowson who retired in the B Final.

Wayne Broadhurst was determined to not have a repeat of his earlier defeat, hit the front in the Senior A Final and didn’t look back. Try as he might, Gwillam couldn’t get the better of Broadhurst and had to settle for second. Colin How got the better of Adam Hawker to take the final spot on the podium, and crucially, remain at the top of the Championship table, now tied on points with Broadhurst.
Adam Hawker took fourth place to stay just one point behind the Championship leaders overall, with Sam Hall, Jack Crewe and Den Edwards behind.
Just three rounds remain in the 2025 Championship, the series heading over the road to the Hampton Old Hall venue on 30th August.
