Brad Todd to race a 2 Stroke in MX2 when racing in the UK in 2026

Brad Todd revealed on the All British Motocross Podcast that when he races in the Motul ACU British Motocross Championship or Scottish Motocross Championship rounds in 2026, he will be riding a 2 Stroke 250 KTM in the MX2 class with support from Gabriel Solutions.

Todd, who will be racing in the full AMA Pro Motocross Championship on a 450 KTM, is planning to race in at least four MXGB rounds whenever his American schedule allows, and when he does so, it will be on a 2-stroke.

“I’m a 2-Stroke guy,” said Brad, “so I’ll jump on that, and probably be very happy and very confident quite quickly.”

Brad initially tested a Ducati for America, but worries over parts in America put pay to that plan, which means alongside Eli Tomac and Jorge Prado, he will be racing on an Orange machine stateside.

“The main goal is obviously America, and see what I can do in there,” continued Brad.  “I would like to give that a good go. You never know what can happen from it, can you? A lot of people are doing well from it.”

Brad also revealed he is on a Privateer programme when in America, which provides him with a race bike and a practice bike. DK Offroad have been a huge help to Brad for a number of years and is paying for the programme.

“They take the bikes, they have got a chef there who cooks for you all of the time, they have got water… they have got everything you can think of, like Ice Baths… so we are going to be a part of that.”

Alongside Brad will be his trusty mechanic, Mark Blades, who will be touring the USA with him in a van and caravan with a practice bike so they can take in as many of the historic circuits as they can along the way, while the race bike will go to the race events on the Privateer programme’s truck.
