Belgium win the 2026 Motocross of Nations – Results

Belgium are the 2026 Motocross of Nations champions, ending a 13-year wait for victory in motocross’s biggest team event with a superb performance at Ernée, France.

Liam Everts and Lucas Coenen delivered when it mattered across the three races to secure Belgium’s first Motocross of Nations triumph since 2013 and return one of the sport’s most successful nations to the top step of the podium. For Great Britain, Ben Watson produced two strong rides as Team GB finished seventh overall, while the individual race victories went to Romain Febvre and Jeffrey Herlings, with the Dutchman winning both the second and third motos.

Race 1

Romain Febvre got France off to the perfect start with victory in the opening MXoN race, finishing ahead of Jorge Prado, who had fallen while leading, with Belgium’s Lucas Coenen taking an important third place.
There was disappointment for the home nation, however, as Mathis Valin crashed out, leaving France with a costly DNF. For Team GB, Taylor Hammal finished 16th, with Ben Mustoe 23rd.

Race 2

Jeffrey Herlings dominated Race 2, checking out at the front to take victory by 25 seconds over Andrea Adamo, with Pauls Jonass completing the top three. France’s hopes of taking victory on home soil suffered a huge blow when Tom Vialle crashed heavily while leading on the opening lap, effectively ending the host nation’s challenge for the overall win. Ben Watson put in a strong ride to finish 10th for Team GB, while Ben Mustoe came home 24th.

Race 3

Belgium sealed the 2026 Motocross of Nations title in the third and final race, with Liam Everts and Lucas Coenen delivering the results their nation needed by finishing fourth and fifth. It completed Belgium’s first MXoN victory since 2013 and ended a 13-year wait to return to the top step of the Nations podium. At the front, Jeffrey Herlings and Jorge Prado produced an epic battle for the race victory, with Herlings eventually coming out on top to complete a double on the day. For Team GB, Ben Watson produced another excellent ride to finish ninth, helping Great Britain secure seventh overall.
