2026 Kensworth MXC Championship Round 1 – Race Report & Results

Kensworth Schoolboy Motocross club headed to Canada Heights, one of the oldest motocross tracks in the UK, known for its heart-stopping hills and jumps, the excitement and the nerves in the pits set the scene for this first round of the KSMXC 2026 championship. The Track played host to some fantastic racing throughout the day.

In the fast adult open class, MX1 British Rider Tom Grimshaw stole the show with a clean sweep 1-1-1 to take the overall.

Great racing took place between Rob Wood and Liam Bennett for the other podium positions. Wood took second place in the first Moto, but Bennett came back in Moto 2 and 3 to take the second place away from Wood, who secured the third overall place

In the Big Wheel class, Jack Pettitt and Corey Heffernan went head-to-head, and we saw some fantastic racing between the pair, but Pettitt had the edge over Heffernan to take the overall on the day with a 1-1-1. Heffernan took second. A solid ride from Oscar Bird secured him the third podium place.

Harley Simms, George Bartram, and Trevor Hill all battled it out in the Junior 65 class. Sims took the overall with a 1-2-3. Bartram, who won the last Moto, took the second podium place with Hill third.

In the youth, 125 Blake Ward Clark took the first podium position with Chase Panter second and Oakley Skinner third

In the youth 250 class, Max Corke showed his class and took the overall with a great ride from Harley O’Callaghan to secure second. Reggie Gomm took the final podium position.
