Ben Thomsen came away from Round 1 of the 2026 British XC Championship at Driffield with both the Premier Class and Overall glory.

Other winners in the Edge Offroad promoted event were Kieran Child in the Experts, Brookie Mudie in the Ladies, Alex Pringle in the Masters, Steven Currie in the Clubman, Julian Holmes in the Over 50’s, James Cole in the Sportsman, Lee Kermode in the Vets, Juddy Kearford in the Under 19’s, Seth Carvill in the Youth AM class and Ben Blackmore in the Novice.

Over in the Youth race, Archie Coaker was the winner in the Juniors, Ellis Hurst was victorious in Youth A, Blake Shaw took the number one spot in the Youth B, and Daisy Cardis took the chequers in the Youth Girls
