Jett Lawrence puts on a masterclass to win Race 1 of the 2025 Motocross of Nations in Ironman for Team Australia, overtaking early leader Lucas Coenen of Team Belgium, who would finish second, ahead of Slovenia’s Tim Gajser, who had to go all in to hold back Team USA’s Eli Tomac.
Netherlands racer Kay de Wolf would be the top MX2 rider in 8th place.
It was a tough race for Team GB, with Josh Gilbert piling into a fallen Ken Roczen in the third turn and having to fight back through the pack to 23rd, and Dylan Walsh, after a promising start, finished 37th.
MX2 World Champion Simon Laengenfelder crashed out and pulled out injured.
Team USA lead the Nations after one Race ahead of France!
