179MX is hosting a six-round Stubble X race series over autumn and winter in Shropshire, starting on the 15th November 2025 and running into 2026. Riders will compete on specially prepared stubble fields offering fast-flowing layouts and old-school race energy.

The Club’s goal is to revive the spirit of Stubble X that many grew up with – the excitement, community, and that raw racing atmosphere.
The club are really raising the bar with their prizes too as they look to give something back to the riders who support them.
Hollie Sheldon of the club said. “Instead of just handing out trophies, we’re providing real prize packages that recognise their hard work and show our appreciation for their commitment to the championship. We have had some amazing support from sponsors such as Armour Pro, Flex, PPR Ignition, Dirt Storm, Mud Monkey, J&C Events and JK Spares.”

Riders, young and old, are also excited for the first round:
Fletcher Jones, age 8 #29, said, “I cannot wait to compete in the stubble X championship, because on the stubble tracks the ruts are deep and smooth. I also cannot wait to see all my friends and watch them race.”
Millie Sweenie #222, “179mx practice days are always brilliant. Tracks are always graded and watered perfectly, the atmosphere is phenomenal – if you need help someone is always there to help, I’ve never made so many friends in the paddock before like I do in the 179mx paddock.”
Layla Jones #165, “I really enjoy going to the tracks as I have fun and see all the friends I’ve made at 179mx.”
The championship is IOPD affiliated, with 6 rounds planned across Shropshire and Cheshire. Each event is designed to provide accessible, safe, and exciting racing opportunities for riders of all ages and abilities.
