Team GB will again be represented by the 5-time British champion and reigning MX2 British champion Tommy Searle at VMXDN which takes place at Hawkstone Park from the 27th to the 30th August.

Searle makes no bones about it; he has been at every event to date and has raced everyone since 2023. It’s obvious to see the VMXdN is his favourite event of the year. He loves to race a two-stroke, and winning motos and standing on the podium in front of the largest crowds in British MX still makes the 37-year-old act like an excited schoolboy racer.
He is fit and healthy on the run-up to the event, with only having sore shoulders from carrying British motocross for twenty years (his words, not ours)! There are less than nine weeks before the gates open at the most historic and iconic venues in the UK, the Grand Prix circuit at Hawkstone Park in Shropshire, for the August bank holiday weekend extravaganza.

Alongside racing Tommy is enjoying a new career as an influencer as his online presence is nothing short of staggering, when he’s not on the track he can be found with the camara in his hand and his weekly vlogs are the busiest in the sport within the UK and that’s not only for his personality but he has the credentials to back it up, you only need to google his name to find a long list of accolades.
“Searle is a three-time MX2 World vice-champion”
“Five-time British Motocross Champion”
“His fourteen MX2 Grand Prix victories make him Britain’s most successful MX2 rider and rank him third in total victories across all classes to multiple world champions David Thorpe and Jeff Smith.”
Tommy will have his own line of event merch (this is the only race he does this for); there are limited numbers, and when they’re gone, they’re gone.
But the question on everyone’s lips is what bike will Tommy be riding? The boy has options, and the DocWob crew have built two machines for him to choose from; they have also been out testing, and all the behind-the-scenes action was captured and will be dropping on Tommy’s YouTube channel real soon – Keep your eyes peeled!
Tommy joins Brad Anderson in a strong-looking Team GB squad, but they will need to be at their best to beat the Americans, who have a powerhouse line-up which includes Jeremy Martin.
