The Revvi’s shine at SX Worx! Revvi Cup @ SX Worx October 2023 – Race Report & Results
Well over 100 riders made their way through the storms and rain to the fantastic SX Worx indoor circuit in Sheffield back on the 21st of October to race in the latest EXGB-promoted Revvi Cup Electric Balance Bike Race event.

The Revvi 12″ 3-year-olds class was one of the busiest, with a full lineup of riders duking it out in their quest for Revvi Cup glory over three qualifying races and their finals.
Maddox Buckley was in the form of his life, winning all three of his heat races and doing the same in the A final, although he had stiff opposition from Tommy George, who looked like he might grab the win at one point. The ever-smiling Maddox, though, held to take the win and the coveted Revvi Cup. Lucas Gill had an eventful day with a few falls in the final, hampering his chances of challenging for the win, but his speed was clear to see, and he finished an excellent second. Lawson Taylor was super smooth and didn’t put a foot wrong in the final to take home a superb third; rider of the day, Ruby Keenan, who finished an outstanding fourth, has showed fantastic progress this year. Tommy George picked himself up from a fall after challenging for the lead to finish fifth, Phoebe Golding had an excellent day to finish sixth and winning her third heat race too. Loui Nagy put in an impressive performance to finish eighth with Hunter Brierley having a good day to make it to the A final and finish ninth.
Tommy Ashmore came through to win a keenly contested B Final ahead of James Rainford who showed great improvement throughout the day to finish second. Albie Birchall ended his day with a solid third, Bear Todd was a good fourth, Vinnie Legg rode well for fifth, Theo Hancock powered to sixth, James Rock took a good seventh, Charlie Smith landed an eighth, while Tommy Sedgemore crossed the line in ninth.
The C Final saw Charlie Dennis claim the victory, showing great improvement as the day went on, Johnny Sword was another rider who got better throughout the meeting to finish second, Ronnie Marchant had a good race for third, Jensen Wood fired in a fourth, Auley Luxton blasted to fifth, Theo Morley claimed a strong sixth, Tristian Bailey notched up a seventh, Harry Thomas took eighth in his first event and Ronnie Ellis never gave up in ninth.
The action in the Revvi 12″ 4-5 years of age class is always fast and furious with the Stanley Scott/Blake Benson rivalry once again being renewed between these two great friends.
Stanley was on a mission from the off and rattled off 3 heat wins before keeping the hard charging Blake at bay in the A final to add another award to his trophy cabinet. Great Racing again between these two. Theo Cadd was impressive all day and pulled off a great ride in the final to finish third and on the podium. Acey Topliss had one of his best days with a superb fourth, Jake Coxon showed good speed in fifth, Gunnar Day grabbed a super sixth, Viktor Konarzewski looked good all day and finished seventh, Heidi Robinson fought hard for eighth and Jonah Barks showed grit and determination after a few falls to finish ninth.
The B Final would go the way of Walter Shingler Hulme who rode a stormer to take the chequers ahead of Carson James Mathias in a superb second. Jenson Martin put in a great ride for third, Reuben Hall claimed fourth with a good performance, Lennon Wise slammed in a fifth, while Wiktor Banasiak who made the trip all of the way from Poland to compete took sixth. Xavier Laniyan rode well in the heat races too.
With Sonic the hedgehog as his guide Louie Smith added this Revvi Cup title to a growing list of others in the Revvi 16″ Standard 3-4 years of age class, notching up three heat wins and victory in the A Final. As always there was plenty of drama in the final but coming through for an excellent second was Max James-Good while Ezra Astin had an outstanding day to finish third. The always busy Ethan Rudd was super smooth and took a great fourth, Luca Hayes had bucketfuls of speed and ended the final in fifth, Kaison Carter had it dialled in and rode well for sixth, Elliott Scott turned up the heat with seventh, George Hague hammered in a solid eighth, and Wiktor Banasiak who had two fantastic second places in the heats was ninth.
Over in the B Final Reuben Scrivens was the victor with a great ride ahead of Ronnie Evans in a good second and Billy Page riding well for third.
The Revvi Open 3-4 year old class was stacked with talent and as always served up some epic racing and battles throughout.
Coming into the final four riders had finished the qualifying heats with just 2 points separating them all. Harvy Nicol had won all three of his heat races, Rhys Bennison and Harley Patel and taken the chequers twice and Rory Ritzka showed his speed with a win and two seconds. Throw into the mix and whole handful of other extremely fast racers and we knew the final was set to be a classic which it was…
After five laps of ups, downs, crashes, falls, passes, and pass backs and plenty of wheel to wheel action it was Rhys Bennison who claimed a fantastic victory after an epic dual with Roy Ritzka who showed his talent too with some superb riding. Early doors Harvey Nicol and Harley Patel were also in the mix but falls hampered their challenge and Harvey would finish third, while Harley had to settle for eighth. Eli Walton had a tremendous day and took fourth with some great riding, Jack Insley as always never gives up and rode his socks off for fifth, Raheem Ahmad was fast all day and showed it by finishing sixth, Aliyas-John Westwick notched up a win in the heats and powered to seventh in final with Harley Patel as already mentioned in eighth, and Isaac Vaughan making a strong impression with ninth.
In the B Final Ralphy Twist turned on the style to claim the win ahead of Zach Athersych who looked fast in second. Junior Garbutt rounded out his day with a good third, the busy Acey Topliss notched up a strong fourth, Harley Henderson Gray showed fine form in fifth, Jackson Fontaine rattled off a great sixth, Tommy White hit home a nice seventh, Mason Cooke chalked up a good eighth, with Ethan Rudd pitched in with a ninth.
Reggie Herring kept getting better and better culminating in a fantastic C Final victory ahead of Gunnar Day in a super second, while Theo Hancock darted to third. Frankie Grzegorczyk chalked up a fine fourth, Daisy Rudd had a splendid fifth and Tommy George landed a sixth.
The Revvi Standard 5-6 year old class was decided over four point scoring heats with 10 riders doing battle for honours and battle they did with Martha Gill and Stephen James Peters going all out for the win. In the end Martha with three race victories would claim the Cup from Stephen with both riders having an excellent days racing. Well done guys. Archie Gill was always at the sharp end and had a great day to finish on the podium in third, while Freddie Greaves fired in four solid rides to end the day with a superb fourth. Nelly Cole would edge out Heidi Robinson for fifth with Heidi in sixth with both girls putting on a great show. Harrison Thistlethwaite would end the day in a good seventh position, Jesse Armitage Thompson took a fine eighth, Alfie Puddy was ninth but also claimed a holeshot too which bodes well for his racing future and Bobby Harrop had a great day in tenth.
Always one to watch is the Revvi 16″ Open 5-6 year old class with a huge line up of superfast racers all ready to put on a show. No rider came into the final with an unbeaten run in the heats which showed the competitiveness of the group. Come the final though it was Oscar Duckworth who showed his hand early but the rider to watch was Stanley Scott who was making his debut in this class and was charging through the field after a tough first lap. By lap three Scott was in second and hunting down Oscar but Oscar would keep his cool to claim a fantastic win over Stanley who has shown he will take some stopping in this class at future events. Well done guys. Not far behind the battle for the lead was Rico Binkhorn who notched up two heat wins on his way to final and was always in striking distance of the lead if they were to make a mistake. Rico would have to work hard to finish on the podium as Ronnie Barnes was on his case and doing overtime to try and claim the podium spot. Ronnie would win a heat too so his speed was not in question. In the end Rico took third with Ronnie in fourth. Blake Benson is another ride to move into this class, and impressed with an excellent fifth, Charlie Lister came from last to finish a great sixth and was also one of the top qualifiers so he has awesome potential, Marley Butler fired in a superb seventh, Richie Ginns had a strong race in eighth, and Alfie Irons with a tremendous heat win under his belt was ninth.
In the B Final Max Stevens was the number one with a awesome ride, while Ronnie Dennis scorched to a good second and Chester Foster had pace in third. Grayson-Blake Martin brought it home for a fine fourth, Parker Herbert rode well for fifth, Ollie Heron hammered in a sixth, Harley Cornwall took a great seventh, Frederico Massarella-Burton slotted into a superb eighth and Archie Johnson had a good day in ninth.
Arlo Tordoff triumphed in the C Final with a great ride, Hunter Kirk brought it home for a good second, Elsie Evans powered to third and Rae-Rae Murray rode well for fourth.
The Revvi 16″ Open 7-8 year old class was decided over four points scoring races and coming out on top in all four was Demi Denniss with some outstanding riding and taking the Revvi Cup victory. Daniel Beardall and Lottie Calverley fought hard all day long for the runners up spot, but it was Daniel who came good in the final race to take second after tieing on points with Lottie who would end the in third overall. Great racing Daniel and Lottie. Daisy Cartwright came through some good battles with Darcie Crane to take a strong fourth with Darcie riding well in fifth and Archie Johnson showing great improvement throughout the day in sixth.
