Jonny Walker, in an excellent state of form that allowed him to close the 2022 season on a very good note after initial difficulties due to the recovery of his operations, arrived extremely motivated at this first race, with the intention of starting the season on the right foot, before the Christmas break.

At the start of the race Jonny faced some initial difficulties in Superpole, where he immediately showed great speed, such that he was able to stay engaged with the top three, but made some mistakes that relegated him to fifth position.

Despite a backward position at the gate, Walker made a great start to the first part of the race and immediately took the lead, remaining in command in the opening laps. A few small mistakes led to his pursuer overtaking him in the continuation, but with a very intelligent race and an excellent race pace, Jonny finished in second position.

Starting in reverse order, another difficult start in the second run was on the way for Walker, but thanks to a very good race Jonny again achieved second position.

In the third round Walker, author of the Holeshot, led the race for four laps then, also due to some lapped drivers, lost some time and found himself fighting with his pursuer. At the end of the race Jonny scored a P2 for the third time, which puts him in second place Overall for the day, as well as second in the Championship.

Walker said he was very happy with his performance on an extremely technical and complex track like Krakow where he had never finished on the podium, confirming his motivation to do well in 2023 on his Beta.

A good performance also for Tim Apolle who, thanks to a P7 – P8 and P5 in the three rounds, finished seventh Overall.

The next round of the 2023 SuperEnduro Championship is on 07 January in Germany, in Riesa.
