Steve Holcombe makes a Winning start with Honda RedMoto in Italian Enduro Championship

The 2024 season finally got underway with the first race of the Italian Enduro Championship. A “half” race in Viverone, as Sunday’s schedule was cancelled by the organisers due to the heavy rain.

Honda Racing RedMoto Enduro Team begins the new year with the amazing performance of its five riders directed by Matteo Boffelli.

Starting with the extraordinary overall victory of Steve Holcombe. The English rider proved to be the number one by giving Honda RedMoto a fantastic overall and class victory.

Great victory also for Thomas Oldrati, ruler of the 250 4T class: thanks to his excellent time laps he also finished in the top 10 Overall.

Amazing race for Francesca Nocera, who starts the season with an outstanding victory in the women’s class.
P5 Overall for Samuele Bernardini. After finishing 3rd in Friday’s Supertest, he rode a beautiful race in the 450 class, finishing in P2 behind only an uncatchable Verona.

There was a Podium also in the Junior class with the second position of Manolo Morettini.

Steve Holcombe #1

“Great race. Perfect start with the new team and everything was good. I made a couple of crashes, but had a really good feeling with the bike. We understood what we can improve in view of the PortugueseGP. I’m really happy how the team worked in difficult condition”.

Thomas Oldrati #22

“Tough race, with a lot of mud and very dug-out special test. I started slow, but I improved my times lap after lap. It was important to start the season well and I’m happy with my victory and the P10 overall. Let’s keep it up!”.

Samuele Bernardini #23

“Great first race of the year! The only regret is that I could have got the overall podium, which I lost on the last lap. Too bad but I’m happy with the result”.

Manolo Morettini #38

“Race started well with P10 Overall in the Supertest. On Saturday I made a few mistakes and some crashes made me lose precious seconds. I’m very happy with the 2nd place because it was a tough race”.

Francesca Nocera #443

“Tough day with tough special tests. I’m happy because I had a very good pace and managed to take the win. Let’s keep working towards the World Championship!”
