The event sees riders on classic machines powering up the big hill in a full chat race to the top in front of a huge crowds.

The Hill, the races!

The hill is 440 yards (1/4 mile) and reaches almost 1:1.5 near the top where there is a challenging jump known as “the pimple”. Riders compete 4 at a time from a standing start – the first two over the finish line progress to the next round.

The record

Carl Pope currently holds the record with a time of 19.53 seconds achieved in 2009 aboard his Cheney BSA.  Could this record go if the weather is kind in 2023? In 2019 Ricky Pedder was he King of the Hill. Will he be on the line in 2023 to defend his crown?

The classes

There are 3 classes plus the Allcomers class, in which the full entry competes against each other.

The new Twinshock classes will now cater for vintage Japanese and Europeans machines up to 1981, plus the entry will still include early rigid framed machines, competitive replica Triumph, BSA and European 2 stroke classic scramblers.

Special Guest

ex World Motocross Champion Neil Hudson will be at the event on Monday, encouraging the competitors and presenting prizes to the winners.
