Murphy brings it home at Weedon! Kensworth SMXC Club Championship Finale – Race Report and Results

KSMXC headed to Weedon in Northamptonshire for their final round. As the high of being crowned 2021 Compass Cup champions the week before had started to wear off, it was time for riders to get their heads down and secure their final positions in the championship.

William Murphy had his sights on the top spot of the championship and needed a victory to secure it. He didn’t disappoint, this smooth Big Wheel 85 rider rode to victory with 3 straight race wins. Lewis Evans took second to secure his podium finish in the championship with Riley Nicholls, who has had a great season taking third, to secure his second place in the championship.

The Small Wheel 85 lads Rocco hands and Blake Ward-Clarke had entertained the Kensworth spectators all season with their battles, so yet again we were in for a real treat as both lads raced to confirm who would be the Small Wheel 85 champion. Ward-Clarke took the first Moto, Hands took the second, so they took to last!! Ward-Clarke took an early lead, with Hands nipping at his heels the whole way round, Hands took the faster lap time, but just couldn’t get past the solid Ward-Clarke who was crowned KSMXC champion and overall winner on the day. A consistent Rylee Clarke took third and third in the championship.

Riley Ray Barrow

In the Junior 65 Riley-Ray Barrow who was crowned KSMXC champion earlier on in the season, had the race pace yet again, to take the first moto smoothly. A tumble in the second moto saw his rival Franky Donoghue take the victory, but Barrow stepped it up in the last and took the overall. Donoghue has had a great first season with the club and took second overall on the day and in the championship. With a consistent Sydney Monger, taking third and third in the championship.

In the Auto’s Stanley Lewis who was crowned KSMXC champion back at round 5 Milton Milsor, had taken 45 points at every round so far in the KSMXC championship and wanted to secure another victory on his last race on the Auto. In his first race Lewis had his work cut out, with Tyler Moss securing the victory and Harley-James Barrow taking second. So onto the second race, which saw Barrow take the Holeshot, but Lewis got his head down to take the second moto and the final moto. To secure his dominance in the Auto 2021 class. A great first season for Barrow saw him take second overall and second in the championship. Tyler Moss secured the third podium spot on the day.

In the schoolboy two stroke class Max Smith showed his dominance yet again to secure victory and take the top spot in KSMXC championship. Josh Jones took second with Louie Evans third, both lads finish in the KSMXC championship in this way too.

In the schoolboy four stroke class Dexter Milbourne took the overall on the day, with Ashton Humphries second. Charlie Sellick the 2021 KSMXC schoolboy four stroke champion took third.

Daryl Wallis was crowned KSMXC champion in the under 35 class, by securing second overall on the day. Aiden Maloney, who’s on top form at the moment, took the overall on the day and secured third in the championship. A great ride from Daniel Saltana saw him take the final podium position. Lewis Huckerby took fourth overall and secured second in the championship.

Daryl Wallis

In the Over 35 class, Stuart Scott rode to victory taking 1-1-1 to secure his third overall in the championship. Darren Knight took second with Ste Marlow taking third.
