The British Sprint Enduro Championships finally got underway last weekend at Ashby Moto Parc, and it was a full house with around 100 riders eager to get back on their bikes.

The Championship class was incredibly competitive, but Jack Edmondson was untouchable as he won 15 out of 16 tests. Alex Walton and Tom Sagar frequently switched between second and third throughout the weekend, but in the end Alex Walton took second overall, Tom Sagar third. The man himself Paul Edmondson even had a crack at it on Saturday, placing 9th overall!
In the Experts, it was Jack Rowland who dominated on Saturday. He lost a few tests to Charlie Chater but got into his groove by the end of the day to win the 4 tests in a row. However, it was Charlie Chater who made a comeback on Saturday to top the podium. He also set the fastest lap time in his class and was consistently placing within the top 10 and often the top 5 too. Cole Cookland, after coming fourth on Saturday and second on Sunday, was second overall and Ryan Crowder took third.
The Clubman class was equally tough to be in, with some competitive times being set. In the end it was Adam James who came first on Day 1, but his challenger Archie Collier took the top spot on Day 2 and the overall win with Adam second. Jack Staines, at his home ground, placed fifth on Saturday then third on Sunday, meaning that he came third overall after putting in some great laps.
The Sportsman class was interesting as for some it was their first time at a British Sprint! Zach Price put in an excellent performance Saturday and placed first, but on Sunday it was Thomas Watson who took his spot. However, Morgan Williams placed third then second over the weekend and this consistency gave him first overall as Zach slipped down to fourth on Sunday! Third overall was Harvey Harman who went 4-3.
The Ladies class saw only 3 competitors, but it meant the determination by each to win was incredibly high. The results were exactly the same both days, with Ellie Cooke placing first after an impressive weekend of riding, followed by Megan Wilson then Gemma Holtham.
In the Vets it was of course Keith Staines who took the win overall after a second on Day 1 and a win on Day 2. Ryan Griffiths did the opposite meaning that he took second overall. Jason Rees challenged the top two to take third overall, putting in some impressive times in his class.
Finally, in the Youth class, Cory Cookland topped the podium after winning both days, followed by Sion Evans who also gave a great performance across the weekend. Roan Delaney placed third both days and overall.
As always a massive thank you to the Fast Eddy team and everyone that supports us, the next round is at Champs Parc, Kettering on the 15th and 16th August.
