ISDE Team GB has announced the appointment of Fionn Griffiths as the new Women’s Team Manager, joining the Management Team ahead of the 2026 FIM 6DAYS Enduro of Nations.
Following a strong level of interest in the role, with a number of high-quality candidates applying, the selection process proved highly competitive. Fionn’s appointment has been ratified by the ACU Enduro Commission, and the team is excited to welcome her into a key leadership position as Great Britain looks to build on its strong legacy in the competition. ISDE Team GB would also like to thank Alexandria Jones for her commitment and contribution as Women’s Team Manager in 2025.
Fionn brings a wealth of elite-level experience to the position, with nearly two decades competing at the highest level of international sport. She spent 18 years on the MTB Downhill World Cup circuit, achieving multiple World Cup wins and over 40 podium finishes, while representing Great Britain at World Championship level for 17 of those years. Alongside her mountain bike career, Fionn has extensive experience in enduro, having competed in British Enduro Championships, British Sprint Enduro Championships, FIM World Enduro Championship events, and FIM SuperEnduro. Now a wholetime firefighter with West Midlands Fire Service, she continues to demonstrate her commitment and professionalism, balancing her career while taking on this new role with Team GB.
Fionn’s appointment signals a clear intent to continue the progression of Team GB. With her background in both performance sport and athlete management, she aims to bring together a cohesive and competitive group of riders, focused not only on individual performance but also on building a strong team environment. Her experience across both the sporting and commercial sides of elite competition will be key in supporting the riders throughout the year and during the intensity of the ISDE itself.
The Women’s Trophy Team has enjoyed a period of significant success in recent years, progressing from third place in 2019 to second in 2021, before securing a historic victory in 2022 – the first ever win for the British women’s team. That same year also saw the Men’s Trophy Team take victory, marking the most successful campaign in Team GB history. With the ISDE set to return to Wales in 2027, the team is eager to build back towards that level of performance and success.
The 2026 FIM 6DAYS Enduro of Nations will take place in Grândola, Portugal, from October 12-17, marking the 100th edition of the iconic event. As one of the most prestigious competitions in off-road motorcycling, it brings together the world’s best riders to compete for national glory across six demanding days of racing.
Fionn Griffiths: “I’m both happy and honoured to join Team GB as the Women’s Team Manager. Representing Great Britain has always meant a huge amount to me, so to have the opportunity to do that again in this role feels like a real full-circle moment. I’ve built a lot of experience over the years, both in racing and working with athletes, and I’m looking forward to bringing that into the team environment. The 2026 ISDE is set to be an incredible event, and we have the talent within the British riders to achieve something special. Now it’s about building the cohesion, mindset and support around them to help them perform at their very best.”
