Dirt Hub: Do you have a Pre-Race Playlist you listen too, and if so name a couple of tracks that are on it?

Ricky: Mmm music doesn’t really do it for me before races but I do listen to a few podcasts before I set off.

Dirt Hub: When was the last time you cried?

Ricky: It’s been a while but when my grandmother passed away.

Dirt Hub: What is your favourite inspirational quote?

Ricky: My favourite quote is from Arnold Schwarzenegger – “Don’t listen to the Naysayers”

Dirt Hub: What drives you most to get up in the morning and go training?

Ricky: What gets me up… besides the 5 am alarm for work is the drive to be better and get to the highest level I possibly can within the sport.

Dirt Hub: If you didn’t race what sport would you play or take part in?

Ricky: I’d go back to my roots of trials. I rode years of that before until I found adrenaline doing enduro.

Dirt Hub: What is your biggest Phobia?

Ricky: SPIDERS!!! Never been a fan of those things.

Dirt Hub: Who is your biggest sporting idol and why?

Ricky: Gotta be Kobe Bryant the amount he’s done for sports – his mindset of winning and being the best version of himself is impressive and motivates me massively.

Dirt Hub: Where do you see yourself in five years time?

Ricky: I’d like to see myself maybe not working 50 hour weeks and have more time to train and ride to get to the level I know I’m capable of.

Dirt Hub: What is your all-time favourite movie?

Ricky: American Sniper

Dirt Hub: Who has had the biggest impact on your career?

Ricky: Charlotte & Steve Taylor have had a huge impact on my enduro career as I would never be where I am today without them.

Dirt Hub: What is your philosophy on life?

Ricky: You get one life so make sure you live it doing what makes YOU happy!!
