Dirt Hub: Do you have a Pre-Race Playlist you listen too, and if so name a couple of tracks that are on it?

Josh: I always listen to something that gets the blood pumping, Pour the Milk by Keees. And Robbie Doherty is a song in my playlist.

DH: When was the last time you cried?

Josh: I think it was at Hawkstone Park last year in the AMCA Championship, I had a big crash in qualifying and my shoulder partially dislocated and I was just so annoyed that it happened after all the hard work I had done in my rehab.

DH: What is your favourite inspirational quote?

Josh: You got to be in it to win it

DH: Do you have any weird suspicions or pre-race rituals?

Josh: I do have a couple lol. When riding down to the start gate I use the back of my seat to pull my sleeves up, it’s weird I know but it comes from when I used to wear elbow pads and it’s just carried on. I also have to check my choke three times when sat on the start.

DH: What drives you most to get up in the morning and go training?

Josh: I’m up at 5AM for work during the week but knowing I’m a day closer to go moto on the weekend is what I live by. I do my training after work each day knowing that the effort I put in makes it that little bit easier come race day.

DH: If you didn’t race what sport would you play or take part in?

Josh: My Mum used to take me to gymnastics when I was 10 but I stopped when they wanted me to join the team squad haha. Moto was life!

DH: What is your biggest Phobia?

Josh: Deep water is probably my biggest Phobia, I’m not the greatest swimmer.

DH: Who is your biggest sporting idol and why?

Josh: One guy, in particular, is Dean Wilson because of his never give up attitude. No matter what has been thrown at him, he’s always found a way to rebound.

DH: Where do you see yourself in five years time?

Josh. In life, I would have hoped to have brought a house and be living with my girlfriend.

In motocross to be doing the best I can and most importantly having fun!

DH: What is your all-time favourite movie?

Josh: Wolf of Wall Street

DH: Who has had the biggest impact on your career?

Josh: 100% my family, without them none of this would have been possible. They’ve given up so much of their time and money to give me an opportunity to do something I love. It’s definitely brought our relationships together and torn us apart at times haha.

DH: What is your philosophy on life?

Josh: Live life to the full
