Dirt Hub: Do you have a Pre-Race Playlist you listen too, and if so name a couple of tracks that are on it?

John: Don’t really listen to music before a race usually just a little team talk before we head to the waiting zone.

DH: When was the last time you cried?

John: After watching Marley and Me

DH: What is your favourite inspirational quote?

John: The best things in life aren’t things

DH: Do you have any weird suspicions or pre-race rituals?

John: I have a warm-up routine to get comfortable in my kit before I go to the line.

DH: What drives you most to get up in the morning and go training?

John: The thought of letting people that help me down or not being prepared myself to go racing.

DH: If you didn’t race what sport would you play or take part in?

John: Tiddlywinks

DH: What is your biggest Phobia?

John: Failure

DH: Who is your biggest sporting idol and why?

John: Ken Roczen and to come back from the injuries he had and to win again takes a lot of mental strength.

DH: Where do you see yourself in five years time?

John: Hopefully still as part of Gabriel Motocross running up the front in Britain.

DH: What is your all-time favourite movie?

John: Good boys

DH: Who has had the biggest impact on your career?

John: Simon Gabriel. He saw something in me and gave me the opportunity to build on my skills and hone the skills I already had.
