Conrad Mewse on why he will miss British MXGP at Foxhill

Conrad Mewse has confirmed he will not race this weekend’s MXGP of Great Britain at Foxhill as he focuses on securing the 2026 Motul ACU British MX1 Motocross Championship.

Following his second overall finish at Canada Heights, which extended his championship lead to 15 points, the Crendon Tru7 Honda rider revealed that wrapping up the British title remains both his and the team’s priority.

Mewse believes with only two rounds remaining, now is not the time to risk valuable championship points, saying on the teams PR from Canada Heights:

“The British championship is the main priority for me and the team. It’s not like I’ve got a 40-point buffer, so I decided not to race the British GP next week. My main priority is the British, and I want to make sure I get it wrapped up.”

The decision means Mewse will focus solely on the final two rounds of the British Championship at Duns and Blaxhall, where he will look to convert his championship advantage into another national title, and on the Motocross of Nations, which we are sure he will be part of for Team GB.
