Bringing ‘Munster’ Energy to VMXdN Foxhill

Returning to VMXdN Foxhill with a two-pronged attack for 2023 is Team Munster Ireland, who have a team in both the VMXdN international Team race and the Wright Engineering national team race.

Garry Sullivan, Team Manager & rider in the VMXdN International race, commented after the ’22 event, “There are some great videos on YouTube, but none of them can capture the true atmosphere, sound and smell of an event like this, ya just have to go there, which is exactly what I’m planning for August 23” and plan he did…

Sullivan has competed at various levels since 1986 and boasts several class wins. He took 3rd overall twice in the Irish Vets class in 2018 and 2019. Sullivan will be looking forward to mounting his CR500 – ex-world champ David Thorpe Honda, which he has owned for over 20 years and will be the number 36, prepped by motopro.ie

Hilton Hincks is the second man on the team. According to Garry, he’s also the most successful team member. Hincks has claimed several Irish motocross, grass track & short circuit road racing championships over the years. Possibly his most outstanding achievement is winning three Irish Short Circuit championships over three consecutive years on his Honda RS250. Over the years, he has raced against some absolute top-level guys, including Johnathan Rea & Jeremy McWilliams. He got the Foxhill fever in 2022 and returns in 2023 onboard a CR250 displaying the number 35, prepped by motopro.ie

Last but not least, for Team Munster is the ‘new boy’ James Sinnott. Sinnott is no stranger to the event, having been the team mechanic for Team Munster in 2022. After witnessing such a great event last year, he’s decided to trade his spanners for boots and a helmet this year and claims the third spot on the team. Sinnott is MCUI/Irish GT and MX Champion and will be onboard a CR250 with the number 34 on the plate.

The Munster Energy team for the Wright Engineering national race are all riding bikes owned by Garry Sullivan and prepped by motopro.ie and consists of riders from the British Youth Championships, Fin Wilson (who is also competing at Hawkestone this weekend) will be riding a CR125 at Foxhill running number 13, Aidan McDonagh riding a CR500 on the number 14 plate and with the number 15 David Sorenson is riding a CR250.

Take Garry’s word for it, and don’t just watch the YouTube videos. Come and see for yourself…tickets are available from https://vmxdnfoxhill2023.eventbrite.co.uk or check out the website for more details https://vmxdnfoxhill.com/
