Anderson had the head for the Heights! 2023 Kensworth MXC Club Championship Round 6 – Race Report & Results

Kensworth schoolboy motocross club headed to one of the UK’s oldest natural motocross tracks. Canada Heights.

The track is not for faint hearted but the Kensworth schoolboys showed the track the respect it needed to provide some great racing.

The under 35’s started the day. With a full gate of 46 riders, the spectators were in for a real treat! Drew Anderson showed he had the head for the Heights taking 1-1-1 in every Moto. Raife Broadley, Todd Richie, Shaun Springer and Ryan Knock kept Anderson honest and were all running the same lap times and kept the racing hot for the other podium positions. Broadley’s consistency paid off to give him second overall with Nock taking third.

Travis Bixby and Jack Leese went head to head in the Big Wheel 85 class. Bixby took the first Moto, but it was Leese’s win in Moto two and three see him take victory overall. Bixby took second with a 1-2-2. Jacob Francis took the final podium position with great consistency.

The Auto class saw the very fast Austin Edwards take the overall with a 1-1-2. Max Miller got better with every Moto, to take second overall with a 5-2-1. Freddie Dennis took third.

In the fast Youth 125 class Cody Spacagna took the overall with his consistency throughout the day. He saved his best race til last taking his first race victory. A very fast Toby Buchan took second with a 3-1-2. With a great ride from Mikey Ward to take third.

Joseph Hawkes took the overall in the Youth 250 class, Dayton Turner took the second podium spot, with Tyler Etheridge third.

In the Small Wheel 85 class Alfie Malins took the overall with a great ride in the final Moto to secure him victory overall. A great consistent ride from Franky Donoghue saw him take the second podium place, with Riley-Ray Barrow third.

Frankie Noll took a fantastic victory in the Junior 65 class with great consistent racing. Freddie Gurney took second with Harley-James Barrow third.

In the Over 35 class, Steve Bixby showed his dominance by taking victory in every Moto. Matty White took second overall with a 2-2-2. Paul Barrand took third.

In the over 50’s Richard Brown took the victory showing he was back in the game after taking a year out due to injury. Arvydas Bartasius took second place with Darren Williams third.

Well done to the KSMXC team, who worked so hard to complete round 6.
