Anderson dominates at Cusses! Kensworth MXC Club Championship Round 2 – Race Report & Results

Kensworth Schoolboy Motocross Club headed down south to the epic Wiltshire track Cusses Gorse for their second round.

The rain looked to play a part, which in the end worked in the favour of the organisers and made track conditions prime.

The under 35’s started the day and from the start Drew Anderson dominated to take the overall with a 1-1-1, Charlie Putnam was never to far away though for 2-2-2 and a consistent Scott Hamilton took the third podium place.

Under 35’s

In the Big Wheel 85’s, Harrison Greenough showed his class taking the overall with a 1-1-1. Billy Moriaty and Levi Saunders battled it out for the other podium positions, Moriaty took second overall with 2-3-2, Saunders taking third.

Seth Golding – Auto’s

In the Auto’s Jenson Maxwell-Knowles dominated the first two motos, but as track conditions changed, as the heavy showers started to arrive, Jesse King thrived on the technical track to take the last moto. Maxwell-Knowles took the overall with a 1-1-3, a consistent Ronnie Morgan took second with Stanley Lewis third.

Jimmy Ball – Auto’s

A stacked small wheel class saw the fast Callum McCullough take 1-1-1. A strong consistent Drew Stock took second, with Blake Ward-Clarke who excelled in the technical conditions in the last moto to secure third.

Leo Ormondroyd – Juniors

Riley-Ray Barrow took the overall in the Juniors showing dominance in race one and two, Elvis Totney took the last moto as he enjoyed the wet conditions. Archie Edwards and Franky Donoghue battled for the second and third podium places, but it was Edwards who had the edge who took second with Donoghue third.

The fast schoolboy class was next, Raife Broadley dominated the two stroke class taking 1-1-1 for the overall. Liam Bennet took second place, with Tye Jones third.

Big Wheel Start

Joshua Bassett took the first two moto’s in the four stroke class but DNS moto three, so it was left to Charlie Sellick who excelled in moto three, to take the overall in the four stroke class. Second podium place was taken by Alfie Gomm, who had a great consistent ride, after suffering technical issues before racing started, Fergus Macdonald took third.

Billy Lee – Schoolboy

In the over 35 class Matthew White and Jonathan Pettitt went head to head, in the first two motos Pettitt came out on top, but unfortunately in the final moto, they had a coming together, which ended Pettitt’s day. White took the overall, with Stevie Worts staying consistent to take the second podium place. The wild two-stroke rider Paul Willis grabbed third.

Rylee Clark – Small Wheel

Well done to all the committee, workers and track owners for providing a great meeting. Speedy recovery to all injured riders. KSMXC head to Doncaster Moto Parc for round three of their championship on the 18th July.
