In MX1 after two events already held in France and the Czech Republic, the Team AMCA Great Britain riders are flying high as James Dodd leads the series 25 points clear of his JSR Thunderroad Honda teamate Ashley Thomas. Another JSR Honda pilot, Andrew Smart is currently 5th in the standings and only 8 points off 3rd spot. So far, Dodd has won 3 of the 6 moto’s completed and will certainly be in a very determined mood to increase that win count with future rounds still to come in Belgium, Holland and finally Germany. Joining the MX1 field at Norley will be three high quality GB wildcard riders in the form of Gary Gibson, Shane Carlesss and Luke Meredith.
So far the IMBA MX2 series as only had one event in Belgium with former 2017 IMBA Champion Ray Rowson being the sole GB representative. In Belgium Rowson was unluckily forced out of moto one after picking up a puncture before going onto win the remaining two clashes. That result though left Ray already 38 points behind Championship leader Glenn Bielen and with only one other event to come after Norley it means that Rowson can certainly not afford any further slip-ups!
In recognition of there fine form so far this season, Kristian Whatley, Ryan Crowder, Henry Williams, Josh Coleman and the flying 2T trio of Lee Truman, Mark Yound and Jaydon Murphy complete the GB IMBA MX2 team at Norley.
The IMBA European Championship action will be backed up by a full programme of Support racing so Norley in Cheshire is the place to be this coming Sunday, June 23rd with the local area postcode for the event being WA6 6LJ.
